Catch Up on the Holidays!

My first semester of school is over! I'm so excited! I ended up passing my Biology class with a C, which was a lot better than how I thought it would go. I am grateful for the new semester coming up, I have some really fun classes that go along with my major!
Two weeks ago, we had an early Christmas! My mom had called me up and told me to get work off we were going to start a new tradition. She told me it was a surprise and that I needed to be home around 10:00 Saturday morning. I got home and my dad was out doing sheep stuff and I was complaining... about why did I have to come early if dad wasn't home! My mom told me to relax and awhile later my dad comes in and says, "Let's open presents!!" We were all way confused. We all got to open one present. I got to go first and I got an iPhone! I love it! Sierra got a dog. Her reaction was hilarious! She started crying and told us we needed to hurry and go pick it up. It was cute. Amelia also got an iPhone and Caleb got his first phone! He was really surprised and we kept getting calls from him randomly. Jacob got a DSI. It was really fun to get to open something early. My parents are amazing! After we were done, we hurry and got ready and left for Logan to pick up Sierra's dog. It was so stinkin' cute! She named her Ruby, she is an Australian Shepherd. After we picked it up, Amelia, my mom, Caleb and I went to Sprint to get our phones all worked out, while Jacob, Sierra, and my dad went to PetSmart to get the dog some things. We were all starving and so we ended up going to eat at Sizzler! It was so fun spending time with my family. I have missed being home and talking with them! The rest of the night we made gingerbread houses and just relaxed! It was a fun day!
I've hung out with my High School friends a lot lately. It has been really fun! We have stayed up way late, slept in the big bed, went to breakfast at one in the morning and just talked and laughed. I have had so much fun! I am so grateful for good friends! We have also went to the temple a coupe times, I am so grateful to have a temple so close and friends that are so encouraging to go!
Also, we have had both our Figgins' and Jensen Christmas party! It's crazy how fast Christmas is coming! For the Jensen party, we had pizza, played Minute to Win-it games, had a spiritual lesson and then opened our gifts from my grandpa. I got a sweatshirt from American Eagle. It was really cute! This year for Christmas my dad and his siblings decided to get my Grandpa an Itouch. He loved it! It was exciting to see him get it! Also, Tasha is pregnant and is due April 29th! I am so excited for her. When me and my mom were Christmas shopping we looked at the baby clothes and found her a cute little baby outfit for her to open. It was so cute and I was way excited to give it to her! Saturday, was our Figgins' Christmas party! This year it was at Trevor and Jill's Stake Center. The fun thing about this year is Kyler was home from his mission! He had just barely got home the day before. It was great to see him, he is such a great example. I think he was a little overwhelmed by all of us, but it was good to have him home. We ate Mexican food, played a left/right game that went along with the Nativity, played basketball/games and did a gift card exchange! It was just a fun, simple party! It is crazy how old everyone is getting. I remember when we did the Nativity and it was a bunch of little kids crying and now everyone just does their own thing, it's kind of a bitter sweet thing! I am loving life and am so grateful for all of my family and the blessing they are in my life!

Ugly Sweaters and End of the First Semester!

So my dad was cleaning out his closet on Thanksgiving and he found some of his old sweaters. He was going to throw them away so I decided I would take them. They were perfect! One had sail boats and clouds on it and the other had red, tan, blue and just a bunch of random designs. I was so excited. They are perfect for the freezing Logan weather! Thank You Dad! Also the other day I was thinking that I really want a ugly Christmas sweater. So Allie, Kristy and me went to the DI and looked around for one and we couldn't find ANYTHING! It was pretty devastating. So then I was talking to this lady and she said to check K-Mart! We went there today and found some great snowman sweaters! They are all matching and we decided they are perfect because we can wear them all throughout the winter instead of just during christmas time! I'm pretty excited!
Today was the last day of my Tuesday/Thursday classes! Thank heavens! No more 7:30am classes. It's nice to be half done. Only 2 more tests and my finals are over! I can't wait! Next semester I have classes that I'm way excited for, so that will hopefully keep me interested!

A Family and Temple Visit!

Today was a great day! My family came to Logan to do some Christmas shopping. It was so good to see them and spend some time with them. They only live a half hour away but I feel like I miss out on so much since I've been gone. I am so excited to be able to spend more time with them over Christmas break. I am so grateful for my strong family! I love them so much and don't know what I'd do with out them!
Today I'm also thankful for the temple! I got the chance to go do baptisms today and it was such a great experiece. I love the feeling of peace I get at the temple! I love the spirit I feel, it is amazing! I am so grateful for the blessings of the temple and the power it has!

Some of the Adventures of the last couple days...

So me and Allie (my cousin) are rooming together this year. We have a lot of fun but honestly sometimes I have no idea how we are still living by ourselves. For example yesterday we wanted to make cup cookies so we tipped over a muffin tin and put cookie dough over the bottom of it. We kind of forgot that cookies expand and so then some of the cookie fell into the bottom of the oven. When we opened the oven, smoke started coming out like crazy, our fire alarm went off like a million times and it smelled horrible. Then as we were trying to get that figured out our amazing wall hanging fell down. We were like Serioulsy! So finally we got our fan, cooled down the oven and got that taken care of and ran off to Ward Prayer because we need all the help we can get... Then today while I was at work the toilet flooded.... for the 4th time I must add. Also this only happens to me and Allie. I have no idea why. But it is leaking through our ceiling and our carpet is wet. Pretty much disgusting but what can you do. We still have a lot of fun and are laughing constantly. I think our roommates think we are a little crazy but hey, at least we are having fun!
Today I was in a super good mood. Everything in life seems to be going a lot better. I decided today I am so grateful for laughing and for Christmas Caroling! That is what we did at Ward Home Evening tonight. It was so much fun! I am so grateful for the Christmas holidays at for the joy it brings! Finals are coming up way too fast. I can't believe I'm almost done with my first semester. It has sure been a eventful one but I am grateful to be going to college. I also CAN NOT wait for finals to be over. That's about all for today I need to be studying...

I'm Starting A Blog!

Ok so I randomly decided to start a blog. I'm kind of horrible at working with computers so there are some things that are messed up right now, but I am hopefully going to get some help and figure it all out. I decided to start blogging because I've decided I've had a lot of great experiences in college and just some things that are worth sharing. I don't know how good I will be at posting but I decided it could be a good way to somewhat keep a journal. So we will see how it goes!
